Christmas cards may not be a tradition in France (there’s hardly any in the shops), but they are big on Christmas decorations! Every town seems to be very proud of it’s Christmas lights display and does so tastefully with lots of fairy lights, stars and Joyeuse Fête signs over the high street. Even our little road on the edge of town has an adorned lamppost with blue lights like waves (when on the Cote d’Azur!). Read more
It was such a pleasant surprise when we went to the Mougins Christmas Market for the first time to find gingerbread decorating workshops for kids! Last year they had a large marquee tent (next to the La Poste) full of tables and benches where lots of children could decorate gingerbread wreathes with icing and sweets! Read more
Charming, traditional and so festive! We loved the Le Rouret Christmas Market so much last year that we are making it an annual Christmas tradition. And it’s on tomorrow – Sunday 4th December!
We recently had a lovely time at the launch of URBAINE, a fabulous collection of products, including British kids’ snacks, that are available to buy here on the Riviera. I still miss the packets of healthy kids snacks that you can buy in the UK – they are so convenient to take out and about – so I’m really pleased that URBAINE are making some of these available over here.
